The Canary Islands which is a Spanish Archipelago has seven large islands, one small island and a number of smaller islets. It is also called Islas Canarias in Spanish, Fortunate Islands in Ancient Rome. The Canary Islands were named after the large dogs that were found living on the islands.

It is located off the northwestern coast of Africa in the North Atlantic. These islands were formed out of a volcanic erruption. These islands also form an autonomous community of the Canary Islands being Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria the two capital cities.

The Canary Islands’ weather conditions are just plain perfect. Their tropical location has the best temperature and climate for the whole year which gives them a permanent spring-like conditions, made it a desirable place for holiday makers. The weather in the islands is dry (often windy), with high temperatures all year round which is almost 72 degrees. 100% sunshiny days are commonplace. Rainfall here is also sparse, with most falling in the winter months. So basically, the islands are perfect if you want to have a summer or winter holidays.

The Islands has over eight million visitors every year because of its perfect weather, excellent topography, and beautiful beaches. There are a lot of activities to enjoy in there like water sports, recreational activites or just lazing around on the sandy beaches.
