They crocodiles are said to be harmless and not aggressive, but one can never believe that a crocodile is harmless. You would be better enjoying the other area beach locations than the lagoon. Many of the area restaurants do feed the crocodiles for visitors to see. This alone can make someone a little leery about swimming. Your beach holiday can be enjoyed without seeing the crocodiles.

Cancun has more beach space and accessing some the popular spots requires going through the building and establishments that build up in front of the beaches.
